Phew...this has been a long week so far and it's only Wednesday. I have eliminated many products from my life, in the process making me routine much more simple. I still have 3 different shampoos, so it's not too simple, but I'm getting there. I’m still pretty vain and have a hard time giving up some products even though I know they aren’t good for me. I'm proud of how much work I did to get here and of how much I learned along the way.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
#1. This week I've discovered I spend WAYYYYY too much on products that I am not addicted to. A lot of products I use are way over-priced and while they work okay, I'm not wowed by them.
#2. I need to be more vigilant about reading labels. If a company doesn’t have a readily available list of ingredients, I should learn to be suspicious.
#3. Research is the only way to get the truth, because no one is going to hand it to you.
#4. Chances are the cosmetics companies don’t have my best interest at heart. I should be suspicious of everyone, even warm and fuzzy companies.
Next bad habit...#1.
